Liz Eldridge is an absolute force, delivering vocals that sound like Janis Joplin meets Loretta Lynn in this beautiful live concept album. Each song is interspersed with dramatic monologues that are equal parts silly, playful, sad, and full of yearning. This is one of the most unique shows I've ever seen at Fringe; I hope they get an extension and get to tour around with this! I want to share this show with the world!... full review

Get ready to blast off into space because the meteorite has landed. It would appear that Janis Joplin has reincarnated into the body and spirit of singer, Liz Eldridge in her dazzling show, Space Rock Opera! Accompanied by a four-person band, Eldridge portrays Mrs. Hughes, the only known survivor of a meteorite injury. To the best of my research, this character is based on the real-life, Ann Elizabeth Fowler Hodges and her experiences of notoriety following being hit by a meteorite in the 1950's. This show is a true amalgamation. In addition to the original music and songs that Eldridge composed, she weaves in several monologues. Each of them shares new information: getting knocked off course through fame, facing the void, the feminine ex... full review

Space Rock Opera reimagines a strange historical moment into a moving exploration of creativity, change, and cosmic inspiration. Liz Eldridge leads a magnetic 50-minute journey through country music, surreal moments, and emotional truth, asking what happens when life knocks us off course—and if that’s what finally sets us free. ... full review

Space Rock Opera is a shining example of the perfect Fringe show! It's unique, original, wacky, and utterly enjoyable. Liz Eldridge's performance is stellar; her vocals, her humor, and her delivery are all top notch. Plus, she is the brains behind the script AND the music. No one should be allowed to be this talented. Kudos to the band - they keep the place ROCKing (pun definitely intended)! Plus - it's a live band. How cool is that? A special shout out to director Christine Breihan for bringing it all together! All in all, if you get the chance, GO check out this show! It's a wild musical ride about a woman and her Space Rock - what more could you want? ... full review

So when she pitched me the idea, I think I said: "you had me at meteor". And what followed was a very creative and balsy, artistic exploration, inspired by a woman's heart felt reaction to surviving a meteor strike. Let's just say it had spiritual and mystical implications for both the woman in the narrative and Liz Eldridge! She has a powerful voice yet beautiful voice and an excellent backing back in a perfect venue for this show. Go see it. You'll have a great time.... full review
