Manic was a vicarious look into Roxie's life from childhood, to career success. In her own way, she tells us what success means to her, and how she first perceived it as a young child. The characters that Roxie performed as illustrate a guide of her inner thoughts, trying to break free from judgement and perception of others, which I really liked! Her story is unique, and genuine. Her array of media displayed wowed me as an audience member. This show is riddled with honesty and self evaluation. The audience is invited to take a peak at the human experience through the lens of the Roxana Baldovin expedition. Her testimony bares it all as she exposes all of the factors and decisions that have added up to who she has evolved into so far. Her transparent authenticity opens the door for audience members to consider if they are being 100% themselves on full blast or succumbing to the pessimism, ridicule, statistical odds and timorous thoughts that we are all offered by others and ourselves whether they were requested or unsolicited.
