I loved the audience participation of Vico’s “mom”. It was both SO FUNNY but also made the show really jump a level of connection that just hit me right in the heart.
And I loved how Vico connected so many little details and elements from their childhood to their present identity. Hearing other people’s stories of trans journeys of self discovery are just so damn beautiful and important.
What I didn't like
The projected images were a bit hard to see around the closet set piece, but otherwise it was fantastic!
My overall impression
This show was the core of what makes solo shows beautiful. Vico took us on a beautiful and heartfelt journey through their life while also being hilarious, wacky, and raunchy. It makes me so happy to see stories of non-binary joy and coming into your self like this!
