My overall impression
Hilarious and intelligent autobiographical drag. The costumes and props are to die for, alongside lots of really sharp use of Spanish. And of course Vico is a total star, as anyone familiar with their work will attest. There’s a section near the start that uses a lot of astrology – not really something I know much about, but Vico did a good job explaining it. This is a really poignant and at times surreal expedition through a vibrant, trans mixed-race life.
