I enjoyed the cast and their performances! It took me a minute to sort of find the flow with the age of the characters they were playing, as well as confirming the setting/time period. As stated above, It was a really unique and fun story; yet it also had this pretty heavy existential theme running through it all. Definitely liked this one a lot. From the Costumes/Wardrobe, to the lighting and set design; everything was clever, lived in, and easy to get into right from the start.
Another random thing, but I’m a big fan of those moments of two conversations happening simultaneously.
What I didn't like
The Writer/Director said afterwards that this was written in April, I believe. Really well done for something so recent. The only things I thought could be improved were based more on the technical capabilities of where it’s performed. As someone in the sound world of things, I always enjoy hearing those design elements incorporated into the story. It makes things more immersive. With the Madnani theater, I think they had a mono speaker setup; so I could see/hear those moments with the fireworks, the general ambience/background of the late night/early morning, and then the judgement sort of limbo setting, being more effective having the left/right speakers to play with and pan with.
