This show is a reminder of why we go to the theater in the first place. Mandy Rubeli has built a world where the stakes are hilariously high, the dialogue is razor sharp, and the transitions between absurdity and existential dread are seamless. The cast was phenomenal—each actor felt fully lived-in, like they’d all actually survived middle school together. Faith Saporito’s portrayal of Onyx was a standout. She brought such emotional weight and presence to the role, grounding the chaos with a sense of real heart. The lighting and sound design added a spooky, cinematic layer that made purgatory feel very real… and very fun.
What I didn't like
No notes. Killer execution of a killer concept!
My overall impression
All Cats Go to Hell is a dark, hilarious, and weirdly moving journey through grief, guilt, and growing up. Rubeli has crafted a coming-of-age story that’s equal parts teen comedy and existential horror, and somehow made it feel timeless. Think The Breakfast Club meets Stranger Things with a dash of The Goonies, all under a blood moon. The use of tension and release, the impeccable casting, and the strong visual storytelling make this a must-see Fringe gem. Do yourself a favor and SEETHISSHOW!
