The camaraderie between the cast. It genuinely feels like these kids are all friends from the same cul-de-sac. I liked how much heart was poured into this play. It feels like Stranger Things but if they were realistic about how neglected these kids are
Also the sounds were great.

nothing
My overall impression
Stranger Things if they were realistic about the parental neglect. Hell at one point they even go into the upside down. I really enjoyed how this starts off as just a group of dysfunctional friends playing ball and then it turns into an exploration of childhood. I was a latchkey kid growing up, no parental supervision, just me and my friends hanging out after dark. It was fun but there was always this weird sadness, like, shouldn’t someone be calling us about where we are. I was always a little jealous of friends who’s parents were upset with them if they showed at home by 6:05pm instead of 6pm. This play in a way was like revisiting my childhood, except me and my friends weren’t nearly as mean. Overall if you were a latchkey kid, then this play will basically be like a trip down memory lane.
