Mandy has proven for the third year in a row that she possesses a fundamental understanding of the relationship between trauma, growth, and humor. All Cats is hilarious, moving, and messy in that way that only life can be. And it never strays so far into one mood that it forgets the others, which is truly an accomplishment.... full review

Mandy Rubeli examines the fragility of life in her newest play, All Cats Go To Hell. The show is packed with punchy dialogue, uninhibited performances, and very, very dark themes. Right in my wheelhouse. Rubeli is an especially talented writer and now having seen her previous work, I recognize the gift she has for developing a plot. I love the rapid-pace, the quick line pick-ups, and interjections that were directed with intent to maximize the natural quality of the dialogue and boost the comedy - for the first 10-15 minutes of the play you really feel like a fly on the wall as these latchkey kids shoot the shit at 4am. But as the inciting incident occurs, the story takes a more introspective, existential path that keeps the production grou... full review

A hilarious, heartfelt examination of adolescence, friendship, and mortality. Mandy has captured that horrible moment when you realize your friends are growing up faster than you are, and the understanding that things will never be the same. ... full review

I've learned now that shows written by Mandy absolutely cannot be missed! A job well done to every single person involved this production, it was such a profoundly, beautifully sad yet funny look into that time when we were all finding out where being a kid ends and learning to deal with very real things.... full review

Stranger Things if they were realistic about the parental neglect. Hell at one point they even go into the upside down. I really enjoyed how this starts off as just a group of dysfunctional friends playing ball and then it turns into an exploration of childhood. I was a latchkey kid growing up, no parental supervision, just me and my friends hanging out after dark. It was fun but there was always this weird sadness, like, shouldn't someone be calling us about where we are. I was always a little jealous of friends who's parents were upset with them if they showed at home by 6:05pm instead of 6pm. This play in a way was like revisiting my childhood, except me and my friends weren't nearly as mean. Overall if you were a latchkey kid, then this ... full review
