I particularly enjoyed how it’s visually masked as this bombastic circus act of a show that doesn’t take itself too seriously, after which you’re pulled in head-first into this chilling exploration of a woman’s trauma. So good!
What I didn't like
Perhaps considering the audience view of the stage during the moment where Nyx lays on the ground. Maybe something to add a bit more physical movement from the characters or lighting during that scene to keep the energy up?
My overall impression
Absolutely loved this show! It’s campy and thrilling. You can tell that the team really put their all into it, down to the detail of costumes, makeup, timing of different sound elements coming in––it was truly a spectacular show. Incredible performances from everyone and a wild story that explores dark, emotional realities, but finds ways to make it entertaining and lighthearted at times. A total joy to experience. Wish I could watch it again!!!
