Ell is a terrific artist and I can’t wait to see where this show leads them on their next creative adventures to follow. I’m a forever fan.

My overall impression
Ell C Dellorso is a beautifully brave and bold bug coming into their own in this electric, unhinged, jaw dropping and heartfelt show The Life And Times Of A Gay Bug. There were so many moments in this show where I literally had to put my hand over my mouth because my jaw couldn’t drop any more, and just when I thought I knew where the show was going, Ell takes the narrative to a whole nother plane of emotion, and I was left truly touched at how brave and awe-inspiring Ell was. This piece is truly unlike any other, and Ell takes their clown work to peak points of hilarity, absurdity, and wonderment, all in a whimsical state of truth. As an audience member, you’re rooting for the dear gay bug to find their ball, and the crazy enchantment of the various worlds made it all the more insanely magical. Truly memorable, I’ll never forget this piece.
