What really got me was the way Ma'at explores an artist dealing with the world that wants something from them but they just want to create. A mosaic through the multiple names of William as others see him and he sees himself. A talented cast taking on an ambitious work. Congrats new pals....

I have seen a couple of Marcus‘s productions and I feel like each time he just keeps getting better and better! I really admire that about him and his writing. This is my favorite one I have seen. I loved the universal message of love and art, and the ending had quite a twist in my opinion That I wasn’t expecting and I really liked. I’m excited to see what Marcus writes next!...

The main thing that struck a chord with me about this production was the relationship between Keepon the protagonist and art tycoon Guy Kenwood.
It touched on the idea of the commercialization of art. I think Ma’at did a phenomenal job of highlighting this. I believe it’s a theme that will always hold relevance. It’s a battle between cultural ownership/profiting and artistic expression and it was executed wonderfully through both characters. Both actors did great in showcasing this. Keepon showing extreme passion in his art, and disinterest in commercializing it. Guy Kenwood crunching numbers on a new painting that Keepon was working on. Well done. Super solid work. ...

I really enjoyed the dialogue and isms throughout the entire productions. The metaphors were beautifully done. Shakespeare meets contemporary but all while be so relatable. ...

An emotional saga chronicling the rise and fall of a brilliant painter. Recommended for anyone who enjoys artist biographies. This is a work of fiction but is imbued with many of the same qualities those artists’ stories that continue to transfix us like those of Basquiat, Rothko, Pollack, Hendrix, and even Shakespeare himself....
