What I liked
I really loved the overall structure of this play and the use of simple multimedia to give us a clear indication of where we are in the story without having to be so on the nose. I thought the scene work was excellent and I especially loved the actress Tonya. She owned that stage every time she was on it and I was captivated.
What I didn't like
Nothing. I honestly couldn’t believe this was a world premiere.
My overall impression
I have seen a couple of Marcus‘s productions and I feel like each time he just keeps getting better and better! I really admire that about him and his writing. This is my favorite one I have seen. I loved the universal message of love and art, and the ending had quite a twist in my opinion That I wasn’t expecting and I really liked. I’m excited to see what Marcus writes next!
