What I liked

Julia baring her soul throughout #Messy was truly inspiring to watch. I adored how Julia handed out white roses to members in the audience who felt comfortable and compelled to share what they were healing through in reaction to her guided meditation. Wonderful work all around.

My overall impression

Julia Melim’s #Messy is a gorgeous combination of honesty, bravery, vulnerability, and vibrancy with a glorious slice of witty comedy. Julia bares her soul in this truthful tale of what it truly means to be messy, and accepting that all parts of ourself are beautiful, no matter how messy one’s life might be. In fact, it’s the messy parts that make us whole! Written with sincerity and depth, and with a healing, memorable ending in which we as audience members released our fears along with Julia, was the perfect show to conclude Hollywood Fringe 2025 with. Thank you Julia for your openness, your engaging storytelling, and your passion for life.
