What I liked
I liked the storyline the most. It introduces you to many relatable characters that share their personal vulnerabilities while searching for solutions in their lives.
What I didn't like
I am very pleased that this is a Latino based play. There needs to be many more like it. But there were times in the performance where Spanish became the dominant language that left me in the dark. I don’t know how this can be improved, but it is my personal observation.
My overall impression
CUARTO DORADO is a must-see performance. This story brings to life the trials and tribulations of each individual that frequents this dive-bar, those that work there, and brings to light the challenges of owning this incredible establishment.
The music will have you clapping, singing- along, and dancing in the aisles. You will find yourself laughing, crying, and cheering all while this storyline tugs at your empathetic heartstrings.
You will want to see it again and again.
