Cuarto Dorado is a spectacular musical that celebrates Latin culture, family, and love. The musical numbers were upbeat and catchy, the dynamic within the ensemble characters in this bar is lively, yet it doesn't shy away on touching challenging interpersonal dilemma, and there was alot of heart put into the show. I feel like all those involved resonated with the piece and were place in the position to thrive creatively.... full review

Cuarto Dorado is a wonderful and magical play that embraces Latin culture with heart, art, and passion. From the start, the play takes the audience to a rich, magical realm where culture, music, and stories come together in perfect harmony. The affection between family members is one of the most powerful parts of the drama. You can sense it in every scene, in what they say, what they don't say, and what they do. This is “la storia typica.” It could be your family and friend, or the neighbors down the street. The Reyes family has fallen on hard times, but it is their love for each other that pulls them through it. From the moment La Bruja walks on stage, she draws you in with a wave of her hand. This is a musical like none other. You won’t find the ballad or up tempos of the past. This is the music that is played in the backyard and garages of many homes in the barrio. You’ll laugh, cry, jeer, and cheer. This is Cuarto Dorado, the bar of the barrio!... full review

This was a lovely, heartfelt show. A conversational knowledge of Spanish will be helpful to stay engaged in the show. All songs are in Spanish and partial dialogue is in Spanish. Very few of the songs push plot, so you won't miss much story. But just so you know what you're getting into. ... full review
