This show could be an episode of Black Mirror. The immersive show puts the audience in the middle of a dystopian, though not terribly unrealistic, world. We learn over the course of the Meeting what has happened and the mystery surrounding the Leader and Boot Crews adds to the tension. Poignant questions about the importance, relevance, necessity, and perhaps even inevitability of art guide the show and force the audience to reflect on their own experiences and values. An important piece of theatre especially in light of current events....

This show is thoughtful and tense meditation on how humans connect and how art, even when not actively made, shapes not just the community and the world we see, but the people who make it. Crucially important for our times!...

An ambitious bit of world-building for this specific moment in time. The cast is great. The immersion doesn't demand much from those of us that are a little timid. The snacks were delicious....

Everyone should attend the meeting. Do not be afraid of the word immersive (I usually am), but it is handled perfectly and no one is put on the spot or pressured at all. What it does, expertly, is put you in the middle of what feels like a VERY real moment in the not too distant future and does precisely what it should do, make you think. It's poignant, thought provoking, interesting, INCREDIBLY well acted and directed and written, so much so that it feels absolutely real. It was fantastic....

When a show that’s meant to be dystopian is a little too on the nose. A very unique concept that fits our extreme political circumstances. I thought the show had a lot of great acting and powerful emotion, and was a different sort of offering at Fringe. Also I really appreciated the coffee and donuts for such an intense kind of show! ...

A well executed and thought provoking play (erm... meeting) about the importance and perseverance of art (uh... something). An unfortunately all too timely and relevant exploration of the role of theatre in a fascist surveillance state. It's a show that will be sticking with me long after leaving the space. ...

Despite a few pacing issues, it’s definitely a performance worth seeing. The acting was top-notch, and the concept kept me hooked. Also, for some extra fun, make sure to learn more at Zoome Casino....

One of the most chilling things about watching The Meeting is knowing that this is not hyperbole anymore. It's not overdramatic and it's not hysterical thinking for us to consider a moment in time where art and artists are banned. Incredibly poignant, varied and dynamic and very well acted - all around an incredible piece of art. This play should continue it's run well into the changing times ahead: it is art with a message that is vital and necessary....
