This show is incredible. It has a strong voice, a strong sense of how it fits into the current moment, and you can feel how important this is to the artist. Ethan knows how to tell an incredible story while adding in elements of humor and levity.... full review

Jew Interrupted is a thoughtful, personal exploration of identity, trauma, and the complexity of growing up deeply embedded in Jewish tradition and politics. Ethan Stanislawski brings sincerity and sharp writing to a show that wrestles openly with family, faith, and fractured belonging.... full review

I identified with a lot of this performance. While I grew up as a mid-western Jew, I had New York relatives who grew up in neighborhoods like Ethan's. Growing up I was the 'token jew' in elementary - high school, unlike Ethan who didn't get that treatment until College. My Rabbi fulfilled the role the Ethan's father did in giving context to the disjunction between the State of Israel, the Jewish Religion and Jewish Heritage.... full review

The general show was interesting. I was turned off by his pro Palasinian triabe at the end of the show.... full review

Ethan Stanislawski show comes out of storytelling and stand-up comedy. That being said, he doesn't voice different characters or make use of the stage or bring in props. He does, however, tell a compelling story about his own Jewish identity leading to a level-headed discussion of Gaza, the Palestinian people and Israel's leadership under Netanyahu.... full review

Honestly, I was so excited to see this show, and it definitely was great in all in the ways I wanted it to be. As a half-Jewish person who was brought up Atheist, the subject just drew me in, so I put this one at the top of my list to see. Glad I made it, because Ethan is a great standup comic, and the subject matter is so funny but dark and also smart and heartbreaking. So, yeah, this one really was awesome.... full review

Ethan is engaging and funny. Especially at this particular time, I applaud his courage and honesty in reflecting on his Jewish upbringing and on how his personal views on his faith and on Israel have evolved. I appreciate his clear distinction between Judaism and Zionism, and his determination to better understand Israel's past and present. I hope this show travels to more audiences. I look forward to the sequel! ... full review

Ethan is a fantastic storyteller. He showed that family relationships can be accepting and antagonistic at the same time, a push and pull between admiration and aggravation. ... full review

Was not what I expected. Didn’t know how much influence his family had on the Jewish culture in New York, and that his dad was involved as a professor of Jewish studies (I think I got that right). But the story was captivating and interesting, and unbelievable in spots which is always fun.... full review
