What I liked

The comic timing was great, the simplicity of the show and the blocking was perfect. I enjoyed the slides and the way they were used in the end especially. There were so many reactions from the audience, gasps, laughs, cries. It was just a really engaging show about a deep and personal experience.

What I didn't like

Ethan needs to take a breath or maybe get some breathing training or do yoga or something. He’s got a great wit and awesome timing but seemed like he could calm down. I can relate as a performer.

My overall impression

Honestly, I was so excited to see this show, and it definitely was great in all in the ways I wanted it to be. As a half-Jewish person who was brought up Atheist, the subject just drew me in, so I put this one at the top of my list to see. Glad I made it, because Ethan is a great standup comic, and the subject matter is so funny but dark and also smart and heartbreaking. So, yeah, this one really was awesome.
