Mikkel’s character work was a delight to watch. I loved her accents and her various simple costume changes that transported her into her next adaptation of a “Peasant” from various decades and timelines. Simple yet super effective. A rockstar one-woman show!

Mikkel Simons stuns in this personal, heartfelt and hilarious one-woman masterpiece #PeasantVibes. Throughout this piece, Mikkel impeccably showcases various roles in society and what is considered the norm of what it’s like to survive as a “Peasant”, and boy does this piece hit close to home, especially if you’re a millennial and have worked through some treacherously terrible jobs (mine was working 2 years at Chipotle. Never again). There were so many moments in this piece and with Mikkel’s writing and characters where I went “OH, I know how THAT feels”, and she performs each character flawlessly.
