What I liked
Ben Johnson is a brilliant storyteller. I never once drifted away, he not only knows how to hold an audience but his writing is PERFECTLY paced. There are some turns of phrase I’m still going to be enjoying for days after seeing the show! And it’s so open. He generously allows us to see him and his experiences, the good, bad, and the ugly, and he is brave enough to let us walk through them with him.
And like I said — laugh out loud funny!

My overall impression
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this show! Ben Johnson takes us through one route of the story of his life, beginning with his early days with his family in an Evangelical upbringing, and snaking through the fallout until we get to a beautiful point of introspection and healing. The show is laugh-out-loud funny, poignant, challenging, heartbreaking, hopeful, and stunningly human.
