If you've ever spiraled down the rabbit hole of Tucker Carlson/Tomi Lahren/Anne Coulter/Alex Jones Right-wing-porn, this play will give you PTSD...in a good way. This play provides an access point to the moral framework of an NRA spokesperson, Anna Fierling, with just enough empathy to let us sink in, but not so much that we forget where we stand. We hate her...we want to scream...and then she smiles...and for a moment she seems like our friend... The Catch 22 of capitalist incentive structures is on full display; we need to make money to provide for our families, but that need often subverts our broader ethics. It sucks. As I've only seen otherwise in Will Arbery's "Heroes of the Fourth Turning," the audience is quite jarringly asked to con...

This was possibly the best show I saw at Fringe this year. This show got a full standing O and absolutely deserved it....

Enticing, chilling, savage, there aren't enough words to describe the excellent production that is "And Her Children." Rosie Glen-Lambert and Hailey McAfee have teamed up to create on the of most unforgettable productions at Fringe. McAfee's tour-de-force performance makes us feel everything from anger to laughter to even empathy. It doesn't give you easy answers, but a harsh reality that will send shudders through you during the final blackout....

Hailey, Rosie, and the rest of the team are consistently unstoppable.
Knowing who created it, you walk in with high expectations only to have those expectations exceeded, leaving you thinking and talking about the play for weeks after.
Many one-person shows leave you feeling like there was an ensemble missing or that the performer was just talking at you without really taking you anywhere, but not when Hailey transforms in front of you. She has a way of taking seemingly unlikable characters and making you laugh, cry, and ultimately really care about this person all while commanding the stage and speaking from a position of authority.
Rosie is 100% my favorite director, always crafting beautiful and heartbreaking moments regardles...

I don't know if I can add anything that hasn't already been said by countless glowing reviews!! It's a perfect, powerful show. You don't have to know MOTHER COURAGE to appreciate AND HER CHILDREN, but boy oh boy, the connections are palpable and tragically timeless. ...

I will never miss a Hailey McAfee performance, and what an interesting concept. We watch this character, who is reminiscent of Caroline Leavitt, tell stories and live through them with us. In it, we get a taste of the dark shadows of living a life of leadership, trying to hide the truth until it consumes the self. The show got darker and darker, and we as audience members become bewildered at what angle to perceive this in. The show is ultimately engaging and thought provoking, and McAfee's performance is one you will not forget about. ...

Political image, personal loss, and public reckoning collide in And Her Children as The Attic Collective returns to the Hollywood Fringe with their most powerful work yet. Hailey McAfee transforms as an NRA spokesperson caught in a surreal unraveling, delivering an award-worthy performance that anchors this bold, emotionally devastating production. Under Rosie Glen-Lambert’s precise direction, the team crafts an unforgettable theatrical experience that confronts challenges and lingers long after the curtain falls....

RUN DON'T WALK!!!
If you're reading this, do yourself a favor and see AND HER CHILDREN by any means necessary. Buoyed by phenomenal reviews and Rosie and Hailey's stellar track record, I walked in with high expectations, yet somehow they were exceeded. This is an arresting, deeply affecting work that is topical without straining for relevance; full of razor-sharp observations; and confronts you with empathy when you least expect it. Hailey's performance, which can only be described as transformative, had me leaning forward on the edge of my seat, something I haven't experienced in a one-person show since Jodie Comer in Prima Facie. Eighty minutes flew by, but I'll be thinking about this show for god only knows how long. ...
