The show lets us revisit a non-fun time with abundant humor, yet has a meaningful throughline as the stresses of pandemic life weigh upon a couple’s togetherness. The direction and blocking is excellent, enriching dialogue with imaginative motion and energy. Co-leads Travis Dixon and Judi Domroy embrace their roles with funny zest while remaining sympathetic. The simple score is tuneful and benevolent.
What I didn't like
Song lyrics sometimes feel a bit too literal and predictable. I’d love it if they would sometimes pull back from the immediate action and provide a wider or metaphorical emotional viewpoint.
My overall impression
A charming, funny, bite-sized musical about a familiar pandemic-era supply problem that’s now far enough in the past to laugh at.
