What I liked
I loved that the show was able to pack such a punch in 30 minutes. The performers were always engaged at the highest caliber and boldness throughout the entire 30 minutes; it was truly impressive. I really loved the use of the instrumentalists to create the environment of the show, and the costumes were just breathtaking.
What I didn't like
Nothing! I hope you all get an encore so more people can see this brilliant and important work.
My overall impression
This show is one of my favorite shows. I have seen at the Hollywood fringe this year! There was truly nothing like this at the festival and I so appreciate the cross cultural performance.I was so moved by the vulnerability, the high stakes, and boldness of both the script and the performances. While I do not speak Korean, and there were subtitles, I could feel the desperation, the emotion, And the turmoil that was going on in these actresses on stage. I really loved seeing the contrast of conflict within both of the women, seeing both sides of the story so clearly articulated. I also didn’t know much about this part of history and I’m so glad I know now. I was moved to unexpected tears by the end of this production. I was overtaken with emotion. I cannot wait to see what is next with this wonderful company!
