What I liked

The use of music was 10/10. The live instrumentals elevated the production and story so much. And allowing the instrumentalists to interact as actors to build the world was incredibly effective.

What I didn't like

If you do the production again, I would love to have the subtitles a bit lower. I found myself getting too focused on reading the subtitles and missing out on the amazing acting. And I think putting them closer together will help with doing both at once.

My overall impression

Stellar writing drives this touching and tragic story of guilt and wavering faith. The twists of the story are hauntingly effective thanks to some really stunning lighting and tech. Additionally, the 30 minute length allows the production to be hyper focused on its main message, which uses history to initiate a nuanced philosophical debate between submission and resistance.
