Gould has done an excellent job of redrafting the screenplay produced on John Hughes' SCM Galaxie 12 typewriter to perform like a play penned from the Bard's own quill. Added to a talented cast it makes this production a success.... full review

Great show! We had so much fun, lots of laughs from the audience. The cast each truly embodied their classic on-screen personas, but with unique Shakespearean twists. They're clearly having fun with the act, creating a vibrant and joyful performance that draws in the audience. Some personal key highlights were Andrew's surprisingly acrobatic dance and monologue, and Bender's overall hilarity throughout the show, but all of the main cast were excellent without exception, along with the principal and janitor who kept the audience impressively engaged. Costumes were a fun mix of medieval mods to 80s high schooler garb, with Claire's and Andrew's standing out, in particular. The chainmail addition to the varsity jacket was a hoot! The Club of Broken Fasts is a wonderful tribute to its source material. The use of Shakespearean language presented classic moments in a new light. The actors felt connected to their characters and thoroughly lived in each moment. As a fan of the movie, you will not be disappointed and you may find new meaning in this classic tale.... full review

What a delightful show and terrific ensemble piece! Come see this show for a fun time. I don't know much about this theater company but it feels like my high school self's dream come true, retellings of modern classics in a Shakespearean style (hence the About the Project written in iambic pentameter).Broken Fasts = Breakfast, The Breakfast Club! It's an interesting concept. ... full review

An ambitious production, impressively executed with an abundance of charm, humor, and grace. While some of the heavier emotional beats don’t quite land the way you’d hope, much leniency is granted due to the challenging iambic script, short prep time, and the absence of the actor playing Brian Johnson. The physical comedy was well played, with innovative choreo with props and set pieces given the limited scope of Fringe. Very fun to watch, lot of laughs, the actors inhabited the characters very well... full review
