Easily one of my favorite Fringe shows ever. Totally unexpected, original, silly, honest, and spoopy as heck....

Ian perfectly balances the act of over and under-committing, and the effect seems to be that the audience is extra willing to be intimate and vulnerable alongside him. Hilarious, silly, and wild, but never unearned. A testament to why he is beloved in the community!...

Must See
Todd Macabre feels like a children's show for adults, methodically paced yet fun every minute. Ian effortlessly coaxed a group-mind from the audience and everyone participated enthusiastically. Each little turn was clever and silly, which is enough on its own, but also smartly framed an allegory about self-repression and ultimately recovery and integration. The attention to detail in the set, props, and tech were the cherry on top. ...

Todd Macabre is an interactive fun ride filled with childlike wonder and whimsy. It's perfect for the audience that wants to play with the performer. I loved how Ian encouraged that play and silliness -- this is a performer who knows how to be present and use all the gifts from the audience, in real time, to enhance each moment, in unscripted ways. Such a joy! ...

This was such a rollicking crowd pleaser with a very surprising personality twist at the end that I'm still thinking about today. Without any real.prompting the audience started to sound out the spooky woods atmosphere. and the sense of enjoyment we got from being creaky doors and elevator music was next level. Wonderfully emersive. Very much in the New Clown realm where audience participation just raises the joy. The surprise personal twist at the end, left me feeling happy and heard. It's a beautiful surprisingly thoughtful fun show. Go!...

This has been one of my favorite shows of Fringe so far! As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're in a haunted house in the best possible way. And then Ian enters and completely puts the audience at ease with his effortless and compelling stage presence. He introduces us to the spooky woods and takes us on a delightful romp through a Halloween-y playground that feels like just a silly game we're happy to play with him. But then he unravels the threads of that play into a truly moving and painful revelation I was not expecting. Absolutely loved it!...

An all out there and absolutely insane comedy with an edge of spook, Todd Macabre is truly one of the most outrageous shows I've seen all Fringe. And, I wholly loved every single second of it. Ian Bratschie is captivating from start to finish, with unwavering commitment to character and a keen sense of absurd hilarity that invites the audience into his world with the greatest of ease. Cassie Ahiers direction is spot-on, and this magic team should create more work in the future! I laughed for the entire hour non-stop. I highly recommend this show this Fringe!...
