What I liked
The lead actor was incredibly comfortable in the role. Performed seamlessly and believably in part that could have been one note. Had an American Hugh Laurie thing about him. His scene partner was strong and allowed him to really shine. The direction was my favorite part. While the play was strong on its own, Natalie’s vision definitely elevated the material.
What I didn't like
It’s Fringe. It was a studio theatre. It was good.
My overall impression
Dog of Carnage is handled beautiful by inventive direction and committed performances. The script flows smoothly with some really through provoking moments. You think it’s about one thing only and then you realize it’s about so much more.
