Mike’s easy charm comes through to an audience of friends and family BUT——!
What I didn't like
(LIKE, continued) —-it’s SEVERELY compromised by his unnecessary use of a microphone that DISTORTS his voice rather than enhances it and makes it a real struggle to understand what he’s saying. In a room with 30 filled seats no mike is ever necessary, except as a prop, and this one SPOILS the presentation A LOT!
Also: Do HFF House Managers ever get ANY training or have ANY judgment?
This one left the path into the 30-seat Studio SO dark that it seemed unsafe to grope one’s way in the semi-dark to find the door and take a seat!
My overall impression
MIKE Blaha has been a charming lawyer for several decades and an Intrepid International traveler almost as long, as he’s reminded us several times @ HFF. Unfortunately, THIS installment doesn’t focus on the beauty spots of the world (Bali and Panama = briefly mentioned) but relates a dive into Italy and Eastern Europe that I wouldn’t take on a bet, ending with robbery on the Paris subway by a trio of Nigerian thugs! Thanks to a faulty and unnecessary mike, it was a struggle to hear what was being said more often than not, too!
