What I liked

Nalini was great at doing accents and inhabiting her various characters. She’s very charismatic and confident in her pacing. The characters feel real. I loved the dance sequence! Also, the fog machine was producing very little fog, which I couldn’t tell if that was a bit or not. Either way, the actors made it into something very funny.

What I didn't like

Certain parts were a bit confusing, or hard to identify the through-line. I think it worked given the surreal nature of the play, however.

My overall impression

Nalini is a powerful force! She takes you through the bleak world of this nameless hospital and its patients with humor and vulnerability. She doesn’t shy away from the weird and gross parts of the human experience. It’s an inventive mix of character study and burlesque, with a little Laurel and Hardy thrown in!
