What I liked

When I first heard Drew utter the phrase, “A five person solo show,” I was immediately intrigued. The piece is inventive and fun and with unflinching boldness it forces us along for the ride. There is a blend of comedic sharpness of course, but the bulk of the piece confronts you with gut wrenching, soul-searching conundrums, that we should probably just call existing in our society. As much as its dressed up in art, we all try to avoid these examinations in real life if possible. This cast just puts it right out there in your face in a way that I can’t help but admire.

What I didn't like

I had some clarity issues at times early as I was trying to jump on board, but got there as things picked up. This is natural for a new piece being put up for the first time.

My overall impression

Drew Petriello has done it again! Buckle up for a jam packed excursion into the psyche of Devon with all facets right up front and in your face. You may not know Devon off the bat but you’ll see yourself in there as the show plays out; all of us trying to come to terms with that pesky dark-side that we can’t seem to shake. It’s a perfect Fringe Show and a testament to Drew’s creative and adventurous spirit.
