It made me laugh. It hit me right in the feels. Sometimes both at the same time. It’s what I call a “pie play” the kinda play you gotta go out afterwards and talk about over a piece of pie. My teenager liked it. (that’s high praise if you don’t know any teenagers- that’s like, 5 stars) I’m still thinking about it. It felt so of this moment. The actors have a beautiful rapport and a rich physical life. I loved the variety in the costumes.
Applause to the extra cows! They did a lot while doing very little. Really lovely work.
And, for me, the highlight of this play was the writing. I read a lot of plays. Like, hundreds of plays, every year. And this- this is top notch.
What I didn't like
I don’t have any notes for this.
My overall impression
If you only see one fringe show… see this show! What a well-written, beautiful, fun, feeling and timely piece of theater.
