What I liked
The casting was spot-on, with strong chemistry all around (e.g., Alanna and Patrick; Erik and James; Mary and Patrick). The minimalist set and simple props were used effectively, allowing the storytelling and performances to shine. I appreciated the ensemble’s versatility in playing multiple roles, and the script delivered many genuine laugh-out-loud moments. I walked away with some funny, quotable lines. The direction was effective for the storyline, characters, and venue size. The lyrics, music, and variety of sole, duet, ensemble was great.
What I didn't like
Honestly, nothing comes to mind other than it would be great to see it again… in a larger venue. :-)
My overall impression
I found it a clever and refreshingly original musical that balances humor, heart, and a compelling message. Creative in both concept and execution, it’s a show that’s family-friendly and would engage audiences across all ages. I would definitely see it again and recommend it to others.
