What I liked
The actors were game and expertly navigated the numerous entrances and exits with no time to spare. Excellent sense of energy throughout, you could tell they were having a blast.
What I didn't like
With such a brisk cut, there will always be elements you miss. But as an introduction, hopefully it encourages viewers to dive in and explore more of the play that’s left on the cutting room floor.
My overall impression
“As You Like it in 60 Minutes” is a clever take on the Bard by condensing everything so succinctly. An excellent introduction for younger viewers who might feel intimidated by the Shakespeare pedestal.
