So delightful! I was especially taken with the performances by Lord Capulet (Andrew Weiss) and Lady Capulet (Paige Morrow Kimball), who I thought owned the stage each time they stepped on it. They both smashed their parts with heart and gravitas and were so fantastically cast. I also loved the performances by Friar Lawrence (Sam Logan), and Mercutio (Imani Alis). Their performances felt especially lived in - and for only having three days of rehearsal, I can’t even imagine. Well done!! I wish I could see both casts now!... full review

This was one of the best renditions of Romeo and Juliet I’ve seen and by far my favorite fringe fest play in recent years. There was a palpable energy in the room and I could feel the entire audience was held captive by the entire cast. Instead of focusing on the outward details such as set and costume you can tell all efforts were laser focused on the quality of each actor’s performance and the trade off was well worth it. Trying to slim down this show into 60 minutes seemed like a big feat to me, but I think Colleen provided a cut of this show that really works in an expedited telling of a beloved classic. Colleen also makes great use of the theater space, utilizing the stairs in blocking that I really enjoyed. ... full review
