My overall impression
Everyone knows Bill Ratner has an incredible voice. But he also has an incredible “voice” as a writer and his tale of his uncle Bobby, and other family members is seemingly effortlessly interesting.
Other one person show performers often do not have the writing technique to truly move or engage you. Bill is as good a writer as he is a performer and his show is what you ideally hope for: funny, heartbreaking, never manipulative, detailed in observation, poetic. Go see this show.
