My friends know I’m a VERY harsh critic. I hate everything. Like everything. But this show truly moved me. I laughed out loud many times, and by the end I was crying. The writing is relatable, witty, touching, and hysterical. What’s more, there are so many perfectly executed moments and details… it’s obvious this play was directed by someone with immense heart, talent, and comedic timing. I’m currently writing my own one-person show, and if I can make something as good as this, I’ll be a happy artist. Would love to see an encore. Also, did I mention the lighting? The lighting was way more specific, intricate, and interesting than any other Fringe play I’ve seen, so kudos on that too. Finally, a shout-out to the venue (or Fringe?) for emailing parking instructions ahead of time (honestly, why doesn’t every business in Los Angeles do this?!)
What I didn't like
Anything in life can be polished, but I can’t think of anything to specifically improve. I was a happy customer!
My overall impression
Beautiful play, perfect direction…I cannot recommend this show enough!!
