The acting. Unexpected professionalism during what I assume as Fringe-fare, aka rough and tumble. An surprising, both in form and how moving the piece was.
What I didn't like
A bigger venue. I imagine the play would best be performed on a small area of a very large stage, suggesting an intimacy between the two compared to a ‘vastness.’ As seen, taking up every inch of the performance area was necessary to capture a lot of welcome virtuosity.
My overall impression
Surprising. Involving. Wholly inventive. Moving the audience alternately from guffaws to gasps and teary eyes. The actors’ portrayals were nimble and intimate, but the subjects touched upon were universal. A gem. Kudos to the two wonderful leads and everyone involved.
