The simple staging, venue, minimal but effective sound effects. They got the balance, especially the precise one hour run time, just right.

My overall impression
Hal gave a whirlwind performance as he took us through the story of his life. While hilarious, it was also raw, and Hal’s willingness to be vulnerable on stage in front of so many people is commendable. Hal’s story, how he survived, and how he moved on, likely rescued others in the audience tonight without him even knowing it. Bravo, my friend.
