What I liked
Yousaf is a shapeshifter and his characters were so magical. I wanted to slap Laney and hug Shilpa. And his Pakistani Uncle was so real that I forgot for a minute that Yousaf speaks with an American accent as soon as he shifted into storytelling mode again. Please can this be picked up and turned into a meta High School genre feature film/ period drama set in the noughties? Love love loved it.

My overall impression
Such a wonderful show. A microcosm of today’s America all wrapped up in a High School movie. Yousaf’s stories about belonging are sadly now more poignant than ever before. I cried in joy and sadness and laughed the rest of the time.
