What I liked
I loved this show’s every component. Sidney Edwards has tremendous stage presence and charisma and you can’t take your eyes off her. The moment she appears on stage as her adolescent self, you’re captivated. Her portrayal of her grandmothers, aunt and mom brings depth and humor to the story and she uses all her brilliant comedic timing, physicality and beautiful voice for a highly entertaining and smartly written show. Add in some fun audience interaction and this is a wonderfully paced show that I didn’t want to end. Brava!!!
What I didn't like
I loved the inclusion of the personal family photos & videos at the end of the show. We all know this family know and to see that deep love and fun with one another was sweet without being over sentimental. I would however recommend to trim the photos/video portion a bit so the final video lands with more impact. Our audience wasn’t sure if there would be more.
My overall impression
MS. EDWARDS was a thoughtful, highly entertaining, funny and loving tribute to the matriarchs in the Edwards family.
