What I liked
Sidney Edwards brings each of the characters to life with sympathy and insight. The whole performance was infused with so much love, it was irresistible.
What I didn't like
I didn’t realize this was based on the actual women in her life until about half way through the performance – I wish that had been clearer up front because it imbued the characters with so much depth to know they were based on Sidney’s actual family. That said, it is possible that it was made clear early on and I just I missed something.
My overall impression
What a fun exploration of family and connection! Sidney explores the fascinating cast of her childhood, the women who shaped her life. It is funny, fast and touching. I recommend it highly!
