What I liked

The fluid and real ways that humor was incorporated into the dialogue as a way to demonstrate the duality of feelings.

What I didn't like

I wish it was longer!

My overall impression

I’ve seen the play Going Home twice, it is a hard biting play that is as tragic as it is quietly hysterical.

The four character ensemble, each flawless and vigilant in the personification of their character and craft.

The enigmatic Tommy is a uniquely complex character, whose performance manages to elude expectations as it evolves with a scarcity of lines via complex and convincing physical language.

The relationships between the characters feel lived in and authentic. This ensemble goes directly to the core content.

In a dramatic final scene of the play, Going Home asks the viewer the ultimate question that we must all address in our lifetime.

No spoiler here — this is a precisely executed thoughtful reckoning that provokes tension and tears.
