About the Project
3 Kidneys No Colon is a show detailing the medical diaries (or rather…diarrheas) of Dave who suffers from chronic kidney disease and ulcerative colitis. The show itself is a humorous look at life dealing with major illnesses and surgeries. He infuses humor into the highs and lows of his health journey battling ulcerative colitis and chronic kidney disease, while discovering the resilience of the human spirit. By sharing his story and laughing at some of the worst moments of his life, Dave has shown others that there is light at the end of the tunnel and how all of this has changed his life.
3 Kidneys No Colon is for anyone that feels alone while battling an invisible (or not so invisible) obstacle, and knowing that sometimes the best way to get through your worst day is with a well-timed poop joke.
Dave Piontkowski is an NYC based stand-up comedian who performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2024 with his one man show 3 Kidneys No Colon. Dave has performed at various clubs in and around New York including The Stand, New York Comedy Club, Comedy Village, QED and many more. Dave also performed improv and sketch comedy with UCB, Magnet and The PIT. Dave won the UC comedy competition, and appeared on the Close The Door Behind You podcast and will be debuting on Story Collider podcast this December!
