The games Cameron was able to get the audience to play with him. His presence and connection with us. Being fast and able to respond in the moment. Funny, and also grounded in realness and pathos. Just when you’re wondering how it will all end, he surprises you with something you didn’t see coming and that was thoroughly satisfying. Costume, wig, props: perfect.
What I didn't like
One tiny note for the performance I saw: the second round of dance/movements felt a bit exhausting for performer and audience. One round felt enough.
My overall impression
This was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen! Cameron Poter was masterful! His show is funny, poignant, and massively entertaining. He had the audience with him the whole way. The ending was tremendous: surprising, moving and well-earned.
