Waking Up Gone Wrong is a true story of “awakening” going off the rails. From Mormon certainty to sex, drugs, breathwork, and breakdown, this darkly funny multimedia “live-memoir” solo show explores what happens when the search for transcendence collides with the limits of the human psyche. It’s about love, failure, grace—and the steep cost of confusing the beginning of a spiritual journey for the end.
Content warning: Includes references to psychosis, mental health crisis, emotional/physical trauma, suicide, and the death of a best friend. (i.e. Shit will get real (and a little weird).)
