Stacie’s well-crafted Americana songs beautifully soundtrack a heartwrenching and fascinating family history that she takes the audience on the journey of unearthing. Authentic and artistic visuals accompanied each of the songs and put us in El Paso where most of the story is set. Stacie was a charming and funny narrator and offered her memoir vulnerably and fiercely. I didn’t expect to find myself sobbing as the still-unfolding finale was laid bare – but this is a deeply touching piece, a scrapbook still being assembled in real time, and spoke to my experience in profound ways. The vintage microphone and orange amp were perfect accents to the simple staging. Brava!

My overall impression
This show is a warm piece of peach pie on a Texas summer evening with a bracing shot of whiskey.
