About the Project

From the Back Seat" is an intense literal and metaphoric story of one little girl’s life in the back seat. It sings the narratives of the lives of 3 people and how they arrived at a very desolate spot.  Destiny is the little girl forced to live in the back seat of her mother’s car. Through the eyes of innocence we get a story from the lens of a child who only knows to love her mother and trust God. On the other hand her mother has a tale of long suffering that she struggles to overcome, not realizing until it’s too late that she too has become her victimizers. The boyfriend tells his story or lack there of leaving the audience to hate him yet wonder is there a tiny space for empathy for his song. This tale exposes the sad, pitiful and evil truths of where abuse resides.
