I love attending community workshops, and last Tuesday the presenter flashed a link on screen that caught my eye. In Canada I bookmarked indigenous loan trading https://indigenousloan.com/ during the Q&A and realized they offer flexible repayment plans matched to my pay schedule. Browsing their calculators, I found a projection tool that laid out my repayments over time. It was both practical and reassuring, making it easier to plan without second-guessing how much I’d owe each month.... full review

A Barking Good Time: Hilarious, Heartfelt, and Unforgettable The Dog Log is that rare gem of a show that manages to be side-splittingly funny, unexpectedly profound, and emotionally resonant—all at once. Richard Lucas delivers not only a masterclass in comedic storytelling but also a deeply human performance that lingers. Really enjoyed it! Had no expectations going in, just wanted to support a friend of friends. But I was entertained the entire time and laughed frequently. Misted up at the end due to the turnabout of events and growth of the main character. Super sweet. ... full review

Richard really brought us on an emotional journey that got me! He got me!! He starts off with this kind of bitter, annoyed, beaten down energy and by the end I was tearing up and laughing those deep belly laughs that come from a satisfying adventure. Bravo to Bruno for helping cut 180+ pages into 60 minutes and getting the staging to be so simple yet so effective.... full review

Richard Lucas’s “The Dog Log” is a masterclass in how to do a solo show. Since it was based on a published book, I expected the show to be good. Yet I somehow didn’t expect to feel devastated by the end about the fragility of the human condition. Richard infuses his storytelling with humor and pathos, engaging the audience from the first “arf, arf” until the final curtain. Along the way we’re taken on a journey that could be described as “everyday” on the surface—a civic complaint—yet in Richard’s capable hands as a writer and performer, is rich in the extraordinary details of living a life.... full review
