What I liked

Lucas Alifano needs his own sitcom like yesterday. This has gotten ridiculous. Fringe audiences are spoiled rotten to have this dumbass genius in our faces every year. He devours text, character, and stage like it’s ice cream on a sweltering hot Los Angeles day. Added to which, of course the rapid fire banter of Pam Eberheart‘s writing, and the keen direction of Jeff Scot Carey gives the whole bombastic cast the opportunity to shine. Great job y’all!

What I didn't like

Your mom.

My overall impression

After considering the Fringe fare this year, I’m thinking 2025 is the year of the tragic comedy… Or the comedic tragedy… Perhaps because we all feel a little bit ambivalent as we try to reconcile the state of the world (especially our town either on fire or under siege) and our own desire to laugh and be grateful for the things we have… In this way, the zany-yet-sentimental CURVEBALL perfectly epitomizes that dichotomy of emotions, landing surefire laughs even in the hardest times.
