The writing is high stakes and tight. The story gets going immediately and there is no “fat” on this show at all, it’s concise. The set design was immersive, well-constructed, and so clean. Wylie Anderson’s direction was clear and quick. I loved the expanded use of the trunks and the imaginative use of water. Christopher Cassarino is PERFECTLY unlikable as Joseph, the douchey, oblivious agent. Grace Guy gives a transformative performance that I will be thinking about for a long time. She really takes you through every detail of Fiona’s emotional journey. Both performers had me laughing and locked in.
What I didn't like
I wish there was more!
My overall impression
A well-written and well-performed comedy about power dynamics, confronting your reality, and how much work sucks. I was hooked from the first moment and enjoyed every moment.
